Scholarcy is an AI research tool that turns academic papers, articles, and book chapters into clear summaries and interactive flashcards. It helps students and researchers find key information faster, organize research, compare studies, and create bibliographies.

• AI summary flashcards: Turns research papers, articles, book chapters, and other documents into structured summaries with key points, findings, references, and more.
• Flexible summaries: Adjusts summaries to different reading styles, from a one-line overview to a more detailed researcher-level summary.
• Spotlight: Highlights important points, key concepts, terms, and findings so you can quickly locate useful information in the original text.
• Research comparison: Compares studies and helps identify how research differs, connects, or builds on related work.
• Research quality indicators: Provides indicators to help assess the quality of academic papers and evaluate research more closely.
• Dig Deeper: Lets users ask questions or write prompts about an article to get more context from the text.
• Research library: Saves summaries, references, figures, tables, notes, and highlights in an organized, searchable library.
• Literature synthesis matrix: Exports up to 100 flashcards to Excel for comparing studies, findings, participants, and other research details.
• Zotero integration: Imports articles directly from Zotero and converts them into Scholarcy flashcards for faster screening.
• One-click bibliographies: Creates formatted bibliographies from saved research and flashcards.
• Browser extensions: Summarizes research from Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari while browsing.
• Multiple import formats: Supports PDFs, DOCX files, URLs, plain text, book chapters, online articles, Zotero, Google Drive, and YouTube.

• Saves reading time: Quickly extracts key points, methods, findings, references, and other important details from research papers.
• Makes research easier to scan: Structured summaries and interactive highlights help users find relevant information without reading every paper in full.
• Supports literature reviews: Research comparison and literature synthesis tools make it easier to compare findings across multiple papers.
• Keeps research organized: Users can save summaries, notes, and highlights in a searchable library and organize them into collections.
• Works with research tools: Integrates with Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, Notion, Obsidian, and other research workflows.
• Useful for large paper collections: Bulk summarization and exports can reduce manual work when screening many articles.

• Paywalled papers may not work: Scholarcy needs access to the article text, so papers behind inaccessible paywalls cannot be processed.
• Free usage is limited: The free version has limits on summaries and exports, while unlimited summarization and research features require a paid plan.
• File size limits apply: Free accounts support files up to 11 MB, while premium accounts increase the limit to 50 MB.
• AI summaries need checking: Researchers should still refer to the original paper when interpreting detailed or important findings.

• Students: Quickly review assigned papers, prepare notes, and find key information for essays and coursework.
• PhD candidates: Screen large reading lists, organize research, and compare studies during literature reviews.
• Academic researchers: Compare findings across papers, track references, and build literature synthesis matrices.
• Research writers: Extract methods, results, and conclusions before drafting papers, reviews, or abstracts.
• Research teams: Share organized summaries, notes, and research libraries to keep projects easier to manage.
• Zotero users: Import papers directly from Zotero and turn them into structured summaries for faster screening.
