Orca is a free, open-source agent development environment (ADE) for macOS, Windows, and Linux. You run coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, and OpenCode in parallel. Each task gets its own git worktree, terminal, and browser, so agents never touch each other's work. Review diffs, annotate lines for the agent, and open PRs from one app. It suits developers who use several CLI agents and want to compare and merge the best result.
Orca is a free, open-source agent development environment (ADE) built by Stably AI, a Y Combinator-backed company. You run multiple AI coding agents in parallel, each in its own git worktree, with terminals, diffs, a browser, and a CLI in one desktop app.
Yes. Orca is free and open source under the MIT License. You may still need separate subscriptions or API access for the AI coding agents you use. Enterprise services are available on request, but public pricing is not listed.
Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, Gemini, Copilot, OpenCode, and Pi come preconfigured. Orca also works with Grok, Amp, Goose, Cline, Kiro, Qwen Code, and any other CLI-based agent.
Every task gets its own real git worktree, so each agent works on an isolated copy of your repo. Agents can't overwrite each other's changes, and plain git still works in any worktree.
Yes. The desktop app runs on macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows, and Linux. There's also a mobile companion for iOS and Android.
Yes. SSH worktrees let you run agents on a remote machine with file editing, git, and terminals, plus auto-reconnect and port forwarding. You can also run self-hosted Orca servers or use cloud VMs you control.
According to Orca, prompts and code go directly to your configured model providers, and Orca doesn't inspect or store them. Repositories, worktrees, and agent sessions run on machines you control.
